# Insights

Training Insights can be access from the Insights -> [Date Range Insights](https://app.unifiedtrainingtracking.com/insights/DateRangeInsights) page. The date range will default to the beginning of the year to the current date by default. Change the date range to see insights for different time ranges

### Widget types

### 🎯 Training Record Status Chart

What it shows: A pie chart displaying the distribution of training record statuses (Passed, Completed Not Passed, Unattended). Trends it identifies:

* Overall training effectiveness and completion rates
* Student engagement levels (unattended vs. attended)
* Quality of training delivery (pass rates)
* Areas needing improvement in curriculum or delivery methods

### 📊 Training Hours by Type Chart

What it shows: A horizontal bar chart showing total training hours distributed across different training types. Trends it identifies:

* Most time-intensive training categories
* Resource allocation patterns across different training types
* Training portfolio balance and focus areas
* Efficiency opportunities in high-volume training types

### 👥 Training Hours by Student Records Chart

What it shows: Similar to the above but specifically focused on student participation hours across training types. Trends it identifies:

* Student engagement patterns across different training types
* Popular vs. underutilized training programs
* Training demand patterns to inform scheduling decisions
* Student workload distribution

### 🏗️ Training Classes Created

What it shows: A simple metric displaying the total number of classes created with a trend line visualization. Trends it identifies:

* Training program growth or decline
* Seasonal patterns in class creation
* Operational capacity and planning effectiveness
* Resource planning requirements

### 📝 Training Creation Counts

What it shows: Displays both training requests created and requests converted to actual classes, with trend lines. Trends it identifies:

* Conversion efficiency from requests to actual training
* Demand forecasting patterns
* Bottlenecks in the training approval/creation process
* Planning effectiveness and resource allocation

### 📈 Training Class Capacity Utilization Chart

What it shows: A line chart showing capacity utilization percentages over time, plus summary statistics. Trends it identifies:

* Class size optimization opportunities
* Underutilized or overbooked training sessions
* Seasonal demand patterns
* Resource efficiency and space utilization
* Planning accuracy for future capacity needs

### 👨‍🏫 Instructor Type Distribution

What it shows: Simple cards showing the count of internal vs. external instructors. Trends it identifies:

* Instructor resource mix and dependency on external resources
* Cost management opportunities (internal vs. external costs)
* Knowledge retention and internal capability building
* Scalability and resource planning insights

### 🎓 Instructor Utilization Chart

What it shows: Progress bars showing individual instructor utilization rates with photos and statistics. Trends it identifies:

* Instructor workload balance and burnout risk
* Underutilized instructor capacity
* Training distribution efficiency
* Performance management insights
* Resource optimization opportunities

### 📊 Grade Distribution Chart

What it shows: A combined bar and line chart showing the distribution of student grades. Trends it identifies:

* Quality assurance and improvement opportunities

### ⏱️ Approval Process Efficiency Chart

What it shows: A line chart tracking approval times with average approval duration. Trends it identifies:

* Resource allocation for approval processes
* Compliance and operational efficiency

### 🎯 Certification Trends Chart

What it shows: A line chart showing both starting and ending certifications over time. Trends it identifies:

* Certification program effectiveness

* Training program impact on certification goals
* Workforce capability development trends
