The default view the training classes tab includes upcoming classes. The next 3 classes in will show up here in chronological order. If no upcoming classes exist this screen will not appear.
There are three main tabs to the training class lists. Upcoming Classes, Past classed, and training requests.
Upcoming classes will show classes that have a start date in the future. This list will show classes by start date in ascending chronological order (the next class to occur is on top). The actions menu on the right most column of the training class lists contains three items:
Edit: This will bring up the class edit modal where you can change the training class details like start date, class name, training type, etc.
Details: This will bring you to the class details page where you can see a comprehensive view of the class data including class roster, documents, approval flows, and training surveys
Copy: This will copy the details of class into a new class with the same basic training class details shown in the edit modal. This will not copy over class roster, documents, approval flows, or surveys.
Past classes is similar to upcoming classes however it will show the past classes in descending order with the most recent past class on top. Admins and editors can go in and manipulate past class data however changing certain data will affect student training records.
If a class has students and a certification associated with the completion of the class, changing class location start/end date will change the certification start/end date for student records who passed the class and earned the certification.
If an admin changes the certification of the past class, it will replace students existing certification with the new certification while maintaining the certification duration based on class end time.
Training requests are classes that are in the "request" phase. They do not show up in training class lists and are waiting to be approved or denied by a system administrator.
Training requests can be submitted by the "Request Training Class" button in the Training Classes tab or the My Profile tab available to basic users when they log in. A training request requires the same fields as a normal class creation screen plus a justification and a radio button check to determine if the user is requesting to attend or instruct the class.
Training requests can be approved by an editor or administrator in the training request details (accessed by the rightmost actions menu or the training class name hyperlink). The training class details will display an information banner showing its a training request and a request details card with the requestor, justification, and request type.
Training request response options:
Convert to Training Class: This will approve the request and convert the request to a new training class
Edit Request: You can edit the request's class details
Delete the request: Admins can Edit Request -> Delete to delete the request
